Confernece: LSRL 46

The Linguistics Department at Stony Brook University (SUNY) will host the 46th Linguistic Symposium on Romance Languages (LSRL 46) March 31 – April 3, 2016.

LSRL 46 will be held concurrently with the 30th Symposium on Arabic Linguistics (ASAL 30). In addition, on Sunday, April 3, 2016, there will be a joint Workshop on Arabic and Romance Linguistics (WARL). Registrants for the LSRL may also attend talks at ASAL and WARL.

We invite abstract submissions for the LSRL for 20-minute talks (plus 10 minutes for discussion) and/or posters (posters should measure approx. 3ft x 4ft or 90cm x 120cm) on any aspect of Romance Linguistics. All abstracts should be anonymous, no more than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point font, 8.5×11-inch page setup (= US Letter), with 1-inch margins. Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author, and papers must be in English. We also welcome abstract submissions for WARL. Topics include (but are not limited to) Romance-Arabic language contact, Arabic-Romance multilingualism, Maltese linguistics, etc. Abstracts should be anonymous, no more than two pages in length (including examples and references), in 12-point font, 8.5×11-inch page setup (= US Letter), with 1-inch margins.
