Call for Papers

We are delighted to announce the 7th biannual Experimental Pragmatics Conference which will takes place from June 21 to June 23, 2017, at the conference center KOMED in Cologne under the auspices of the DFG Special Priority Program „XPrag.de: New pragmatic theories based on experimental evidence” . 

The Experimental Pragmatics series aims to bring together researchers from linguistics, psychology, neuroscience, philosophy and related fields that work on pragmatic phenomena using experimental methods. Previous conferences in this series were held in Cambridge (2005), Berlin (2007), Lyon (2009), Barcelona (2011), Utrecht (2013) and Chicago (2015).

We invite interested researchers to submit abstracts for 20-minute talks (+ 10 minutes discussion) as well as poster presentations on any topic related to experimental pragmatics. The submission deadline is February 15, 2017, 11:59 pm CST. Authors will be notified by the end of March.

The abstracts must not exceed two pages in PDF format, including examples and references with 1 inch margins on all sides and 12 point font size. Abstracts must be written in English and should include a clear title but no information revealing the author(s). The number of submissions is limited to maximally one as first (or sole) author (plus joint submissions where the author is not first author).
